Truly exceptional hotel with efficient and excellent employees with the wonderful and caring service from all the staff. Domestic area, particularly good and fab location, very close to the train station, Dawlish or surrounding areas and pubs and inns to eat at. Again, not far from Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve.

it was very peaceful and relaxing as it was early season but filled up on the Easter weekend.the food as ever was excellent.two requests were made during our short stay and both were quickly provided.
the bed was very narrow for two adults and the mattress left a lot to be desired. whereas one doesnt expect 100% personal attention , staffing at busy meal times needs attention.we felt the staff did not seem happy in their work, few smiles, and felt it a chore to be there.the indoor pool is small so no good for serious swimming even at quieter times. we only want to have a gentle swim and relax.it would be nice to have dedicated childrens times as they and their parents want to dominate the pool.I would like to see visits by staff to check the pool to detect the conduct violations-cctv probably has low monitoring if any.

As soon as we arrived at the Langstone Cliff we felt relaxed! This was even before we had walked through the front door. What a wonderful feel this family run Hotel has. My adult girls felt very comfortable. Every facility that you would require for a long stay was available. My husband and I are planning to return just to have a longer say and enjoy it more. This is the type of accommodation that anyone of any age can enjoy, even your dog! Love it Love it!
The only thing was the lack of an elevator to get luggage up stairs. Having said that reception did supply a lovely young man to assist with our baggage.

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and did their best to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and we were able to have the break from our normal routine that we were hoping for.

The location, and the views from the hotel will always be special, also the charm and style of the hotel should remain the same.
The only thing i did'nt like was the room, it was very hot and although we had all the windows open it was still quite uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have had the choice of air conditioning. However, I know this is not always pracitable so as an alternative it would be a good idea to provide a fan for the rooms as standard rather than having to request one from reception.

Great family vibes and lovely location
The family room was super comfy with plenty of space for us and our pup. Enjoyed the pool, and breakfasts were spot on. Only downer was the dining area felt too hot in the morning. A cozy place with a friendly atmosphere, will try to come back again!

Kids loved the indoor pool and climbing frame. The breakfast service was slow and chaotic. Nice views out to sea.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the break was very good value for money. A lovely setting with sea views, a family run hotel added to its appeal, the spa facilities we tried and were happy with the treatments we had. For those watching the waist line dont look at the sweet trolley, the pounds will pile on. Get the right weather and just relax in the grounds with a good book theres nothing better. Lot to do in the local area easy walk to the beach we had a good day out on the Paginton steam train to Dartmouth.

Excellent family facilities, availability of fitness facilities, live entertainment events
Room cleanliness could use more attention!!! The indoor pool temperature was quite cool for comfort. Consider increasing dinner menu variety!!! The beach access can be tricky, especially for those with mobility issues!!!

The room was clean and spacious, which I really appreciated. I had a great sea view that was definitely worth the extra cost. The bathroom seemed newly refurbished, and I loved the eco-friendly toiletries. The bed was super comfy, so I slept really well. Just a shame about the confusion at check-in, a bit frustrating.
